The name of the waterfall is taken from the name of the community where it is located. It belongs to the Pittier district close to the thermal springs and La Amistad (friendship) international park in Coto Brus.
Tour description: We will leave from downtown San Vito and take route 612 for 32 kilometers (one hour in a 4×4 vehicle), go through the towns of Gutierrez Braun, Pittier and Santa Elena on the paved highway, then we will continue on the gravel road until we arrive in Kamakiri. Upon arrival, we will start our hike on a well-marked 2 kilometer path that is a little steep with intermediate difficult. Going slowly, it will be a 2 hour round trip. The waterfall is about 100 meters high, it is quite pretty. We could also take an alternate trip to the thermal springs to enjoy this beautiful place.
