This caves are found in Corredores, in Ciudad Neily. They are the most beautiful caves in the country.
For this tour, we will leave the vehicle in the San Rafael community and we will start our hike along the streams of the Rio Cooredores river, about 2.5 kilometers from the entrance to the cave. The hike is quite technical due to all of the rocks and boulders in the river, but it is also quite beautiful. There is a lot of vegetation and many animals like bird, frogs, monkeys and butterflies. Once we are inside the cave we can enjoy the incredible stalactites and stalagmites mineral formations.
This cave has a subterranean river. We will go into the river for about a kilometer and see shrimp, catfish and a considerable quantity of bats and insects.
Guayabí Cave: This is another option for those who don’t wish to walk so much. It is found on a private farm. This cave is much smaller but also incredibly beautiful. We highly recommend it, especially in the rainy season since we won’t have any difficulty to access it.It has a beautiful walking path inside of a protected forest.
